'Daredevil' season 3 release date: Show potentially delayed by 'The Defenders'

"Daredevil" season 2, like its freshman season, has been critically acclaimed, yet Netflix and Marvel TV has yet to confirm that a third season is on the way. According to a report from Movie Pilot, the delay in "Daredevil" season 3 may be caused by the priority given to "The Defenders," which is set to begin production this Fall.

According to the report, showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez have stepped away from "Daredevil" in order to focus on "The Defenders," which will see Daredevil (Charlie Cox) teaming up with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) to face an enemy none of them could stop on their own.

It is further explained that Daredevil's role in "The Defenders" is likely going to delay "Daredevil" season 3 even further. Given that the character will have appeared in two shows and three seasons total, Netflix and Marvel TV may be shifting the focus on the other heroes, such as "Jessica Jones" season 2 and the premiere season of "Iron Fist."

Even if "Daredevil" does get greenlit for a third season, the report points out that it will not release until 2018 given that "The Defenders," "Jessica Jones" season 2, "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist" will all come out first.

According to the report, "Daredevil" season 3, whenever it does premiere, may introduce the villain known as Bullseye. Fans of the Daredevil comic books and those who have seen the 2003 film starring Ben Affleck will identify the villain as one of Daredevil's most violent enemies.

In the comic books, Bullseye was also responsible for killing Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll). If Bullseye would make an appearance in "Daredevil" season 3, it is speculated that he will murder Karen, bringing Daredevil and his friend Foggy (Elden Henson) back together. This act is also speculated to bring back Elektra (Elodie Yung), following her death and resurrection in season 2.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
