"Dancing with the Stars" is all about pitting professional dancers with celebrity partners and according to a report from Design and Trend, there is a possibility that "Orange Is the New Black" star Taryn Manning may be signing on for the upcoming season 22 of the popular dance show.

The rumors began when Manning posted a cryptic message on her Twitter that simply read "DWTS," an acronym that is immediately recognized to stand for "Dancing with the Stars." Unfortunately, the actress did not elaborate if she is merely going to have a quick appearance in the series or if she is signing on as one of the contestants.

More confusion and speculation arose when "Dancing with the Stars" veteran Karina Smirnoff also posted on Twitter, revealing a photo and caption that stated she had been working with Manning on a new film project titled "Swing State."

It is possible that the two are merely promoting each other and the new movie they are working on or it may be taken as a hint that the two will be partnered in the next season of "Dancing with the Stars," if Manning is indeed signing on as one of the new contestants this year.

At this point, neither Manning nor Smirnoff's camp has responded to the rumors but with the show preparing to air in the upcoming months, it is likely that official confirmation from the studios will be released soon, particularly when "Dancing with the Stars" begins promoting season 22.

The report does point out that Manning will have an easier time on the show compared to other contestants because she does have a background in dancing. Some of these dancing skills have been put on display in her series "Orange Is the New Black," where she plays the character Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett.
