Fans of Bandai Namco games who have been waiting for Code Vein to release will have to wait a little longer as its launch has been pushed back to 2019.
Bandai Namco had announced that the game would be coming in September 2018 during its presentation at the E3 2018 convention in LA last month.
But now it has announced the delay of the new third-person action game and did not give an exact date in 2019 for when it will release.
Perhaps the setback is due to the game developer being so busy this year with other titles, like the upcoming Soul Calibur VI and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
In a statement posted to Twitter, Bandai Namco America's VP of Marketing Eric Hartness said the game would no longer be coming out in September 2018 as originally planned and would now be pushed into 2019.
He said the decision was taken to delay the release after listening to feedback from the E3 2018.
Without being too specific, he revealed that Bandai Namco would be finetuning the game in light of the feedback.
"We want to refine the gameplay even more and further exceed your expectations upon full release," he said.
"This will help ensure that the final game delivers on the expectations that you all have for the game."
Code Vein is a vampire-themed role-playing game that is inspired by Bandai Namco's other popular franchise, Dark Souls.
It was first announced by Bandai Namco in April 2017 so given that some games take years and years to ever materialize, gamers who are waiting to get their hands on it can still be grateful that Bandai Namco fully expects this game to release next year, just two years after it was revealed.
When it does release, Code Vein will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
