'Castle' season 7 episode 9 spoilers, synopsis: Castle's favorite movie star murdered, Esposito and Lanie finally happening?

"Castle" season 7 episode 9 will air in just a few days and it will be a special case for Castle. Also, Esposito and Lanie may just happen.

Back in episode 8, Esposito's life was in danger. Viewers were eager to know if he would make it when his train was taken hostage.  To everyone's relief, he did survive, but a cop said that the detective mentioned Lanie's name before taking on the killer. IBT writes that Lanie, for her part, got "shaken up" because of what happened. Unfortunately, in relationships, it takes one very scary situation to realize things, thus this could be an indication that the couple's on-and-off relationship will develop more from here on out.  Episode 9 might finally show some movement between the two.

Moving on, in episode 9 titled "Last Action Hero," Castle and Beckett work on a murder case and it just so happens that Castle's favorite action star from the 1980s is the victim. Brock Harmon, another action star, help them in cracking the case. The detectives will have to dig deep into the dead actor's past to unravel some possible clues in finding the killer.

While Castle does feel sad about the tragic ending of his favorite action movie star, it seems that he still manages to have a grand time being part of action movies. In the promo, he is seen enjoying himself, while Beckett looks like she isn't enjoying it too much.

Spoiler TV's official synopsis reads: "When the star of Castle's favorite '80's action movie is mysteriously murdered, Castle and Beckett delve into the victim's secret past and pursue his killer with help from a team of aging action heroes. Krista Allen and Ted McGinley guest star."

How will Castle crack the case now? And will Esposito and Lanie finally get together? "Castle" season 7 episode 9 will air on Monday at 10 p.m. only on ABC.
