Care for the Family Launches Course to Help Thousands Out of Debt

Care for the Family has launched a free online adult education course designed to help thousands of people get out of debt.

The 10-session course has been developed from the best-selling book The Money Secret by Rob Parsons, complete with lesson plans and tutor's notes and it is completely free to download.

Rob says, "We see people struggling with debt at all income levels. While debt obviously affects the poorest members of society, it can also destroy the lives of people who earn high salaries, but find that after the mortgage and the other bills have been paid, they don't have enough left to live on until the end of the month."

According to Parsons, one in five people are borrowing money just to pay household bills - just one of the reasons why personal debt in the UK is increasing by £1m every four minutes, he said.

"With so many credit card companies and loan providers, it is very easy to fall into the trap of using credit to tide you over, but it only takes one missed payment or change in circumstances to turn snowballing credit into a debt avalanche. One in four people are struggling to make credit repayments."

The course will be fused with sound advice from The Money Secret to help people manage their money wisely and teaches them easy-to-learn budgeting skills. It covers issues such as:

-Using credit cards
-Banks and loans
-Setting priorities

The Money Secret Adult Education Course has been written for use in small group teaching sessions, evening classes, community courses and church study groups. It contains new material to bring the central debt-busting message of The Money Secret to life in life-changing and original ways.

Every student on The Money Secret Adult Education Course will:

-face their finance fears
-discover the secrets to debt-free living
-avoid common costly mistakes
-regain control of their finances and become the master of their own destiny!

"Debt isolates people," says Rob. "Those who find themselves in debt think they are the only ones to end up in that situation, but in truth thousands of people struggle everyday with this problem. Our vision is to see hundreds of these courses being run up and down the country and thousands of people bucking the statistics and experiencing freedom from debt."
