Bobbi Kristina Brown latest update: unresponsive, Dr. Phil staffer fired

Bobbi Kristina Brown is no longer in critical condition but she remains unresponsive, states a recent report from The Wrap. To make matters worse, Lawrence Genen MD MBA, a psychiatrist of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology states that her father, musician Bobby Brown, is clearly in denial regarding his daughter's health.

The 46-year-old R&B singer surprised a crowd during his Texas performance when he stated that his daughter was "awake" and watching him perform. This has caused avid followers to believe that his daughter was awake and mobile but this was not the case.

Cissy Houston, Bobbi Kristina's grandmother, later stepped forward and addressed the issue. She confirmed, cited The Wrap, that while Bobbi Kristina is no longer in a medically induced coma, she is still unresponsive and suffers from "global and irreversible brain damage."

Meanwhile, famous television psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw recently had to fire one of his own staff members after his interview with Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was leaked out to a British tabloid paper.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Dr. Phil held a meeting with his staff and asked for the one responsible to come forward. No one admitted responsibility and Dr. Phil allowed the staff to continue on with their daily work. It was only after the group had dispersed and there was some level of privacy did one member admit leaking the interview.

Dr. Phil wasted no time in firing the employee and had the person escorted off the premises.

The interview sparked a lot of controversy as it covered Gordon's drug abuse problems, which include the drugs reportedly found in Bobbi Kristina's home the day she was discovered unconscious in her bathtub. The interview also laid bare the tension between Gordon and the Brown family.

Gordon eventually entered a rehabilitation facility following the interview and only recently checked out.
