Price markdowns for smartphones, laptops and desktops are here and there. But game console price cuts are the one to watch for gamers.
Sony and Microsoft take advantage of the season to produce more sales. Buyers, on the other hand, see this as a chance to get their hands on a new PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with the least amount of shell out possible.
For one, it's PlayStation 4 versus Xbox One this season and both game console giants should have cooked up irresistible offers to draw in buyers. The PlayStation 4 by global corporation Sony is the frontrunner in the gaming category but Microsoft eyes on a quick come-from-behind snag on Black Friday with their Xbox One promos.
The software giant is offering a $50 discount on not one, not two, but three bundles this season. The options for shoppers are an Xbox One Kinect and one without Kinect. Also, the "Assassin's Creed," "Sunset Overdrive" and "Call of Duty" bundles will be available in America on Nov. 2 up until Jan. 3 next year. In hopes to kick Sony off the rim, the games, bundled with the Xbox One, cut down up to $150 from the original price.
The Xbox One Assassin's Creed Bundle costs $349 and for those who like the bundle with Kinect will have to provide extra $100. With the former, buyers will enjoy "Assassin's Creed: Unity" and "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" on their new Xbox One. The latter also includes "Dance Central Spotlight."
The Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle is a limited offer. It consists of a streamlined white console and a wireless controller, a digital copy of "Sunset Overdrive," and a special Day One edition in-game items, all at a $349 price tag.
The $440 Xbox One Limited Edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle will be available on Nov. 3 and from this, buyers will get a 1 TB hard drive, a custom console and controller and a limited edition exoskeleton, on top of a digital copy of the "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" Day Zero Edition.
Microsoft has not announced the availability of the offers outside the U.S.
On the other hand, the Sony PlayStation 4 is offered at $399 at the moment, $50 more than the basic Xbox One. But that can change when the company becomes all out with its promotions for the season. Nevertheless, it will aim to match or maybe surpass its rival's offers when on it.
Microsoft plans to end the year with a blast by releasing some of the most-anticipated titles before 2015 including "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," "Sunset Overdrive," "Grand Theft Auto 5," "Assassin's Creed Unity" and "Dragon Age: Inquisition".
Exclusives for Sony, not as impressive as its competitor, only include "Little Big Planet 3" and "DriveClub." "Planetside 2" and "Loadout" will also be playable on the console but are not expected to be restricted to the console.
