Bible Society Develops Mission with New Marketing Appointment
It is hoped that Gori will deliver strategic marketing services and manage the operation of the marketing services team to develop and take Bible Society's mission forward.
Gori explained, "The key challenge is to make the marketing of Bible Society the benchmark for all Bible Societies and other charities."
As Brand Manager at PepsiCo South Africa, Gori was awarded the prestigious South African Gold Pack Awards in 1993. At Nestle' UK, he provided the strategic marketing and sales services which helped win the company the 'Innovative Product of the Year' Award in 2005 sponsored by Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazine.
Peter Meadows, Bible Society's Director of Communications and Giving, commented, "With such an impressive track record, Bible Society is proud to have Gori in charge of strategic marketing services for the Society. He is definitely a valued addition to the team."
Currently in the middle of writing his first book, From Bonsai to Baobab - How to have successful Quiet Times, Gori's list of skills and achievements includes pastoring and leading a church for five years and fluency in French, Spanish, Italian, Afrikaans and English.
Gori has commented that he regards his new role in Bible Society as the culmination of 30 years of desiring to work full-time for God.
Talking about his appointment, Gori reflected, "I am extremely excited at the opportunity to use my marketing experience in ways which help spread the message of the Bible."
