"Better Call Saul" season 2 has just premiered its first episode on AMC and is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime. However, a report from Engadget now points out that the series will not be available in the U.S. via Netflix despite it streaming on Netflix for other countries such as the U.K., France and the Netherlands.

The report points out that this is a departure from Netflix's strategy and relationship with the AMC series. Netflix previously made "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" episodes available in the U.S. immediately after they aired on AMC, making this the first time U.S. subscribers cannot immediately watch the current episodes of the series.

Instead, "Better Call Saul" season 2 is available for U.S. streamers via Amazon Prime. According to Amazon Adviser, each episode can be purchased for $2.99 while a season 2 pass will allow a subscriber to avail of all episodes for $25.99, essentially saving the consumer approximately $4 in total.

Because of this change "Better Call Saul" season 2 will not be available on Netflix for U.S. subscribers until the whole series has aired. This is the same treatment done to other series not originally from Netflix such as "Arrow" and "Gotham." With that in mind, U.S. Netflix subscribers will only get to stream "Better Call Saul" season 2 by 2017 at the earliest.

However, a report from The Verge pointed out that many Netflix subscribers are now resorting to other means in other to watch "Better Call Saul" season 2 without the need of paying for a subscription to Amazon Prime. The report states that many users are now using VPNs in order to make it seem as if they are streaming from a different country.

"Better Call Saul" season 2 continues to tell the tale of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) as he descends into the criminal world, eventually leading him to turn into the deceitful lawyer known as Saul Goodman viewers saw in "Breaking Bad."
