'Battlefield Hardline' release date set for early 2015 with 9 maps, 7 modes

Who would forget the disaster that unfolded during the launch of "Battlefield 4" last year wherein many gamers were unable to play? Developers assured that the tragedy will not happen on the release of "Battlefield Hardline."

"Battlefield Hardline" will be released early next year. Hardline creative director Ian Milham of Visceral Games provided reasons why the game launch will work.

"What you're basically asking is, 'Is your game going to work?' and the answer is yes, it's gonna work. We actually started on this more than a year before Battlefield 4 came out. We've been working with the DICE guys for a long time; some of our engineering work is actually in Battlefield 4 and things they've been doing since then," Milham told GameRevolution.

Part of the plan in ensuring that the new Battlefield game will work is to release beta versions of the game for each platform and solicit feedback from players in order to improve the game before launch.

The release of "Battlefield Hardline" was pushed back to early 2015. According to EA chief executive Andrew Wilson, the delay was due to the desire of the company to add more innovation to the game and to make it better. "Battlefield Hardline" was announced in July this year and was initially anticipated to arrive later this year.

The delay of "Battlefield Hardline" will benefit single and multiplayer mode of the game. The multiplayer mode will add new features involving the cops and criminals that will enhance the Battlefield multiplayer experience. The single-player mode, on the other hand, will have more polished core features.

Meanwhile, Visceral Games and Electronic Arts have confirmed that "Battlefield Hardline" will feature a single-player campaign mode jampacked with unique weapons and vehicles. The much anticipated video game will also come with seven multiplayer game modes and nine multiplayer maps. Reports noted that an eSports mode will also be included in the final game alongside other details.

"Battlefield Hardline" will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
