Game developer Visceral Games announced that the beta version of "Battlefield: Hardline" will be released sooner than later, although it did not announce a specific release date. It also revealed the details of the beta version of the game.

According to the developer, the beta version of "Battlefield: Hardline" will be open to everyone who wants to play it, and will be available across all platforms – PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. Developers roll out beta versions in order to ensure that the game will have a smooth release and will be free of bugs.

"To be frank, we want you to play this beta to death. We need you to. This test is only going to make the game stronger, and help us take a look at ways we can ensure we deliver the most stable launch you deserve," said Visceral Games general manager Steve Papoutsis.

In order for gamers to download and install the current beta version, they should have the previous "Battlefield 4" on their systems. Beta players will receive a bunch of freebies, including a weapon camo/skin, weapon sight, additional content and a unique dog tag.

The title will include new modes such as Hotwire and Conquest. Moreover, there will be no cap on the max progression level.

The upcoming beta version is the company's second beta for the game title. Game publisher DICE already offered a beta version for PlayStation 4 and PC in June last year.

"Battlefield: Hardline" was supposed to be released in Oct. 21, 2014 to PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. However, it was delayed indefinitely in order for the developer to add new features to the multiplayer mode of the game such as cops and criminals that will enhance the "Battlefield" multiplayer experience. Also, the single-player mode will receive more polished core features.

Players can already pre-order "Battlefield: Hardline" to ensure that they'd get a copy as soon as the game comes out.
