Last week, game publisher Electronics Arts announced that EA Access members can get the second "Battlefield 4" expansion pack for free from Jan. 29 to Feb. 28. Now, loyal players of the game are in for another freebie as the developer will give a dog tag to gamers joining the open beta of "Battlefield: Hardline" rolling out this week.

"Battlefield 4 players hitting the Hardline beta will receive an extra perk for joining the chaotic urban warfare: the Hardline Dog Tag. If you have a Battlefield 4 account and try out the Battlefield Hardline beta the dog tag will be unlocked in the next patch for Battlefield 4 for you to proudly wear in-game," says the official announcement in the game's website.

The "Battlefield: Hardline" open beta will start Feb. 3 and will run until the 8th. According to the Battlefield blog, the open beta is around 10 to 11 GB for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, while it amounts to 4 GB on Xbox 360 and PS3. The beta can be be preloaded to PCs starting Feb. 2.

The "Battlefield: Hardline" beta will let players try their skills in new modes, including Hotwire (in two maps, Downtown and Dust Bowl), Conquest (Dust Bowl map), Heist (Bank Job map), and Hacker. However, according to the game's FAQ, the progress gained in the beta version cannot be transferred to the official version of the title.

"Battlefield Hardline" is slated for release to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 17 in North America and on March 20 in the U.K. Meanwhile, reports state that EA Access is offering the title to members using Xbox One earlier than its official release date.

"Yes, you will be able to get early access to Battlefield Hardline through EA Access," the game publisher confirmed on Twitter.
