'Batman v Superman': Which major character is dead in the new movie? Alfred's advice to Batman

 Warner Bros.

Fans know that Bruce Wayne or Batman has now aged in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Ben Affleck was seen on the set sporting salt and pepper hair, which means that his character isn't as young as he used to be. Well, this supports the premise the new movie is starting with.

In "Dawn of Justice," Batman has already been fighting crime in Gotham for a total of 17 years and running. According to Badass Digest, this means that there are already tons of untold stories about Batman. Hence, fans of the movie franchise can expect the story to be quite different from the trilogy that Christopher Nolan made.

DC Comic and Warner Bros. could go several directions with the new "Batman v Superman" movie and they chose this. The movie will reportedly start with a major Batman supporting character already dead. Shocking as it may seem, the noble Jim Gordon has already passed away in the film.

Badass Digest won't tell how he died or who killed him, but the site does confirm that the script includes a memorial plaque to James Gordon. Could this actually be the funeral scene that Affleck was filming? Most probably, but more than this, the absence of Jim Gordon also explains why no one was cast for the role.

How much of an impact will the death of Gordon affect Batman or Gotham? Sadly, it's not that big of a deal in the new Metropolis where most everything happens in the movie.

Furthermore, there will be two major fight scenes. First, there's Superman looking for Batman and the other is the most climactic fight scene in the entire movie. Badass Digest notes that these two fight scenes may lead to major consequences in the plot.

While it is unsure what Warner Bros.' plan is for the future Batman movies, there's one thing more probable now and that is Affleck will continue to play the Caped Crusader in the upcoming DC movie installments. Also, he will be part of the "Justice League" films. After all, he does form the team to begin with.

Meanwhile, Badass Digest also shared a spoiler about Alfred. In the movie, Alfred will give Bruce Wayne a piece of advice regarding how to deal with Superman. As usual, he uses a long story to give the advice, but, this time, it will be about two samurais fighting while both try to save a village.
