The first full-length trailer for next year's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was shown during the San Diego Comic-Con 2015 and was later uploaded by Warner Bros. on YouTube. The trailer gives far more details than the previously released teaser trailer, including a snippet that explains why the two titular characters are at war.

The trailer reveals that Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck) was in Metropolis during the finale of "Man of Steel." A good portion of the city was destroyed while Superman (Henry Cavill) fought General Zod (Michael Shannon) and apparently, one of the buildings that went down belonged to Wayne Enterprises.

Bruce blames Superman for the death of those who died in the destroyed building. This is later echoed by a U.S. senator played by Holly Hunter and the criminal genius Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) who both believe that Superman lacks any sense of responsibility and could pose a threat to the human race because of his god-like powers.

While most of the trailer focuses on Batman's motivations and Superman's struggle with humankind, there were also snippets showcasing Gal Gadot as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman. As Diana, she appears to be amongst the upper class and also one of Bruce Wayne's peers. She is also seen as Wonder Woman firing a wide-radius energy blast.

It is unconfirmed at this time if Jared Leto's Joker will be in the film but there are clips in the trailer revealing that his presence will be felt. There is a scene where Bruce Wayne looks at a newspaper clip about the destruction in Metropolis and the words "You let your family die" are sprawled over the paper, seemingly written in blood.

There is also a shot of what fans speculate to be Robin's costume. The words "Ha ha ha. The joke's on you" are written all over it, implying that the Joker might have killed Robin. Fans speculate that the Joker killed Jason Todd, which prompted Batman to retire prior to his fight with Superman.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens in theaters on March 26, 2016.
