'Avengers 2' spoilers: Film delves into villain Ultron

The second Avengers film entitled "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is reported to give attention to its villain – Ultron.

Marvel and Disney Pictures revealed the official synopsis of the much-awaited superhero film and it hinted that the film will delve into the back story of the movie's antagonist.

According to the summary, "Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure."

The film's cast will be composed of the returning actors, namely: Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Scarlett Johannson and Jeremy Renner are also set to comeback as Black Widow and Hawkeye, along with Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill.

The main villain Ultron, a technological villain who swears human existence, is played by James Spader. Minor antagonist roles, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, are portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, respectively. The team defending the earth from total destruction will also stumble across an old friend, Paul Bettany, as he takes on the role Vision.  Bettany is the voice behind Iron Man's computer J.A.R.V.I.S.

The superhero film was written and directed by Joss Whedon, who is also the man behind "The Cabin In The Woods" and the first "Avengers" film. The first film became a top-grosser and demanded a sequel.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will hit the movie theatres on May 1, 2015.
