'Assassin's Creed Unity' release date, new gameplay trailers: Why is the game delayed? Locked at 30fpe and 900p?

Gaming fans have been waiting for "Assassin's Creed: Unity" for a while now, but the release date of the game has been postponed to a later date. Nonetheless, the wait is not that long, and pushing the release date back will actually be better for the game.

Originally, "Unity" was supposed to be launched on Oct. 28. However, Ubisoft made the decision to delay the release for a mere two weeks. Owners of Xbox One and PS4 consoles and PCs can now expect the game to roll out on Nov. 11 in the U.S. and Nov. 15 in Europe.

Ubisoft pointed to the quality of the game as the reason for the delay.

Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer of "Unity" told Videogamer, "As we got close to the finish, we realised we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin's Creed Unity is exceptional. We sincerely appreciate players' commitment to the game and their patience. It's just a couple more weeks. And it's going to be worth it."

Now, there's an ongoing debate about which version of the game will be the best one. Plus, there's a rumor that the game will be locked at 30fps and 900p for PS4 and Xbox One. Pontbriand had to explain this and clear things out.

"Technically we're CPU-bound. The GPUs are really powerful, obviously the graphics look pretty good, but it's the CPU [that] has to process the AI, the number of NPCs we have on screen, all these systems running in parallel," he explained.

"We were quickly bottlenecked by that and it was a bit frustrating, because we thought that this was going to be a tenfold improvement over everything AI-wise, and we realized it was going to be pretty hard. It's not the number of polygons that affect the frame rate. We could be running at 100fps if it was just graphics, but because of AI, we're still limited to 30 frames per second," he added.

As for the gameplay of the franchise's fifth installment, the trailer has convinced many that this will be an epic game. Not only does the gameplay trailer show how graphically beautiful the background and architecture are, the details of the characters are very impressive, too.

Movements are smooth, lighting is on point, combat remains brutal, and there are more weapons available now. One of the new weapons is the Phantom Blade that Arno (the main character) can use as a mini-crossbow. There's also the new fighting system, crowd manipulation technique, cover system, and better character customization.

Meanwhile, to make the one month-wait easier, fans are free to watch the cinematic trailer of "Assassin's Creed: Unity." This will make gamers want to get their hands on the game come Nov. 15.
