Christmas is less than a month away and online games are getting ready to launch their Christmas events. For one, the brand new life simulator game "Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp" has just launched its very first Christmas celebration and the event was met with gladness and disappointments.

The "Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp" event went live on Nov. 30 and it will be up until Dec. 26. According to Polygon, new and fresh things are underway.

Upon logging in to "Animal Crossing: Porcket Camp," players will receive a special Santa Clause hat in their mailbox.  Once players equip the Santa hat, they will be able to join the game's Christmas event. The event will consist of going around the world map and delivering specific gifts to the inhabitants of the "Animal Crossing" world.

Once players have completed their delivery quests, they will receive Candy Canes from the various animals inhabiting the camp site.  Players can use these candy canes to build exclusive items and furniture that would otherwise not be available. Aside from the candy cane rewards and crafting, players will also be able to get winter-themed items and clothes during the Chirstmas event and until it ends on Dec. 26.

Desipite the positive feedback the "Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp" edition has been getting, there were some complaints about the event as well.

There is a lot of item collecting and grinding involved. Some of the craftable Christmas items require over 100 candy canes to create, meaning that people interested in creating these specific items would have to go on multiple quests in order to get enough candy canes for the job.

Not only that, if a player wanted to collect all the Christmas-themed items, they would have to do even more quests in order to gain all the candy canes required to build the collectible items.

"Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp" players can check out the event for themselves and see whether or not it is something they would like to participate in.
