'American Horror Story' season 6 spoilers: Plot to weave together elements from all previous seasons?

 FX

It was previously reported that "American Horror Story" season 6 will involve not one but two different timelines that will run parallel to each other to tell a single story. However, with more casting updates, it is now speculated by fans that season 6 will also involve a plot that weaves together all previous five seasons.

An interview with Out Magazine revealed that actor Cheyenne Jackson has put forth his interest to return for season 6, and Ryan Murphy did elaborate during the recent Golden Globes awards (via E! Online) that Angela Bassett will be returning as well. It is also speculated that Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, Evan Peters and more will be returning.

With several key players making a comeback and with the storyline delving into two different timelines, fans have pointed out that season 6 will include different characters from different seasons not just for cameo appearances but to tie in the story of all past seasons into one.

Given that season 6 will have a storyline focusing on the present and another plot threat in the past, it would be possible for characters and events from the past five seasons to be tied together and to show their effect on the events happening in the present day.

Unfortunately, nothing has been confirmed by Ryan Murphy or by FX at this point, therefore leaving these as pure speculation.

According to the report from E! Online, Murphy did state that Angela Bassett was shocked by the story and role that he had explained to her. Murphy continued to explain that he already gave the cast a good idea of what kind of characters they will be playing next season and what the overall plot of season 6 might follow.

"American Horror Story" has no production date or definitive release date, although it is expected to begin filming soon in order to release by fall of this year.
