'Agent Carter' season 2 cast includes James D'Arcy, Enver Gjokaj

Agent Sousa and Edwin Jarvis ABC, Marvel Studios

Although "Agent Carter" season 2 is moving its setting from New York City to Los Angeles, a few of Peggy Carter's (Hayley Atwell) allies will be coming along with her. A report from Entertainment Weekly states that both James D'Arcy and Enver Gjokaj, who play Edwin Jarvis and Agent Daniel Sousa, respectively, will return.

Jarvis, as revealed in season 1, is employed as Howard Stark's (Dominic Cooper) butler and was assigned by Stark to assist Peggy when needed. He would later become the inspiration for Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) AI assistant J.A.R.V.I.S., which eventually becomes the superhero Vision (Paul Bettany) in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Sousa was Peggy's co-worker at the Strategic Scientific Reserve or SSR and was one of the few who did not look down on her due to her gender. Sousa and Carter developed intimacy throughout season 1 but it never got far. Rumors around the Web state that Peggy is getting a new love interest for season 2 so Sousa's inclusion could stir things up a bit.

Cooper's return has not yet been confirmed, but given that Jarvis is coming back, it will come as no surprise if Howard Stark makes a quick cameo in a few episodes.

According to the report from EW, there are also talks of bringing back Agent Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray), Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan), and Angie Martinelli (Lyndsy Fonseca). However, Marvel Studios have declined to comment on the matter so it is possible that negotiations are still underway.

The official synopsis of season 2 states:

Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet."

Season 1 already showed the precursor to Tony Stark's inventions, the events leading to the future establishment of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Black Widow program, so it will be a pleasant surprise to see what season 2 will bring to the table as it wraps up the loose ends in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
