A prayer for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson after he tests positive for coronavirus

Christian Action Research Education (CARE) has shared a prayer to be used for Boris Johnson after he tested positive for coronavirus.

The Prime Minister confirmed his diagnosis on Friday and said he was experiencing "mild symptoms".

"I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government's response via video-conference as we fight this virus," he said.

Former health secretary Jeremy Hunt said on Twitter that the "thoughts and prayers of [the] whole nation" were with Johnson.

"We are so grateful for your strong leadership at this time of crisis and know you will back with your trademark optimism before long! Thinking of you and Carrie," he wrote.

Current health secretary Matt Hancock revealed on Friday that he too had tested positive for coronavirus.
