Tech giant Apple finally took the wraps off the new iPhones at their launch event yesterday.
A lot of waiting fans are itching to get their hands on the new smartphones from Apple, but those interested in buying the device may want to wait longer – at least, until they've considered all the pros and cons. Below are five reasons why it's better to purchase the new iPhones at a later date, if at all.
iPhone 6 Plus is $100 more expensive
The 16GB variant of the iPhone 6 costs $199 and comes with a two-year contract from mobile carriers. The smartphone followed the pricing of its predecessor. The 16GB version iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, is pricier by $100 and costs $299 with two-year commitment with a carrier. Moreover, those interested in the new iWatch, which requires the new iPhone 6, will need to shell out another $349.
Large built
The iPhone 6 smartphone is larger than its predecessor with its 4.7 inch screens panel, while its sibling, the iPhone 6 Plus, offers a large 5.5-inch screen display. Those who are accustomed to the previous iPhone's slender built may not feel comfortable with new phones' bigger size.
Do not be fooled by the new processor
Those who like playing games in their smartphones may find that it's not worth it buying the new iPhones as a lot of the processing power of the new A8 processor will be allocated to the pixels. This means that the games will look practically the same just like in previous smartphones. Moreover, it is not necessarily true that playing games at "higher" resolutions is better than next-generation consoles.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay is the company's version of an e-Wallet. The tech giant claims that the service offers more security than credit cards. However, Apple's iCloud storage system was under fire recently due to its lack of security features that allowed hackers to get hold of private and personal photos. The issue came to light when nude photos of actress Jennifer Lawrence leaked online after an unknown hacker hacked her smartphone. People have the reasons to be doubtful.
Unfinished contract
Consumers who have just recently bought an iPhone under a contract would find it better to wait until the contract expires before getting hold of one of these babies.
