3 privileges God gives to His children

God's children are very, very privileged. Not only do we have God as our Father, the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour and High Priest who continually intercedes for us, and the Holy Spirit as our indwelling and ever-present help in time of need, we also have all of God's promises to encourage and give us hope as we live our lives for Him.

As God's children, we have many things available for our needs within an arm's reach. The Bible lists them for us, the things that God has prepared for us.

To help you live fearlessly in the love of God, here are just some of the privileges that God gives to His children who believe in Christ and have taken refuge in Him. Let these verses encourage you to trust in and hold on to the Lord our God.

No weapon formed against us will prosper - Isaiah 54:16-17

""Behold, I have created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire, who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me," Says the Lord."

Because He created the ones who create weapons to attack us, God says the weapons created against us will not prosper. The weapons made against us have been made so that we can overcome them. If we abide in Christ, we can overcome any attack against us.

Deliverance from troubles - Psalm 91:14-16

"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation."

God promises to deliver all who love Him. We might face troubles big or small, but the Creator of the universe and Father of all who are in Christ promised to rescue us. He is mighty to save (see Zephaniah 3:17)

All things will work for our good - Romans 8:28-30

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

If we love God, we are assured that everything that happens to us is meant to conform us to the image of Christ. We may not understand everything that is happening to us and around us, but if we love God, we are assured that He will use everything to make us more like Christ. Always.
