WrestleMania 32 rumors: Who will be The Undertaker's opponent?

WrestleMania 32 will not be complete without a match involving The Undertaker, but at this point, there doesn't even appear to be an obvious candidate to be the Phenom's opponent.

Earlier on, rumors suggested that a John Cena–The Undertaker match was likely, although with the former sidelined with an injury, this does not seem to be all that likely.

Still, Cena has exhibited an almost superhuman ability to recover from injuries in the past; so while this match seems unlikely, it cannot be ruled out just yet.

Aside from Cena, other names that have been mentioned as potential The Undertaker opponents include Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman and even Dean Ambrose, although the latest rumors suggest that none of these wrestlers will get the coveted WrestleMania spot.

The most recent rumors currently suggest that The Undertaker's next opponent is someone currently not on the roster, thus ruling out the previously mentioned names.

According to Fansided, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is more likely to select either a current NXT superstar or perhaps a part-time performer as The Undertaker's next opponent for WrestleMania 32 as opposed to someone who has no clear ties to the company, and that leaves them with some potentially intriguing options.

If the WWE is intent on picking a superstar from NXT, then there may be no better option right now than current champion Finn Balor.

As WhatCulture pointed out, Balor is known for unleashing his "demon" persona on special occasions, and there may be no better time for the young wrestler to showcase that side of him than during a WrestleMania match with The Undertaker.

Should the WWE decide that The Undertaker needs a more established opponent, even if it has to be a part-timer, then their list of options may include The Rock or perhaps even Sting.

With WrestleMania 32 getting closer by the day, fans will know soon enough about The Undertaker's opponent, and the WWE can only hope that the fans think of him as a worthy foe for the legendary wrestler.
