'Wayward Pines' season 2 episode 2 spoilers: Another original character bites the dust in 'Blood Harvest?'

Will Ben be done for in "Wayward Pines" season 2, episode 2? FOX

The atrocities in Wayward Pines might claim another victim in the person of Ben (Charlie Tahan), who continues his fight against First Generation leader Jason (Tom Stevens) in "Wayward Pines" season 2, episode 2 "Blood Harvest."

In the promo for the episode, Ben finds it best to step out of the van that was keeping him, his friend Xander (Josh Helman) and Theo (Jason Patric) out of the reach of the ever-hungry aberrations aka abbies.

They seem to have opted going for the wall, although the "Wayward Pines" season 2, episode 2 teaser only shows Ben on the other side wall, where abbies thrive.

He is being watched by Jason and some of his underlings from the headquarters with his mom Theresa (Shannyn Sossamon) pleading to them to get Ben before he gets killed.

Her worst fears might be realized in "Wayward Pines" season 2, episode 2 with a group of abbies swarming over a body, which may be Ben's. Whether or not he follows Kate (Carla Gugino) out of Wayward Pines remains to be seen, but is certainly worrying.

"You'll see what happens to all three people in the car in upcoming episodes — that's all I want to say — and learn more about what the Abbies are doing in the moment. We see they're up to something different. It's confusing," showrunner Mark Friedman told TV Line.

Elaborating on this, he said that in "Wayward Pines" season 2, the abbies have "evolved." They no longer act like zombies who "eat, scream [and] run." As the season moves forward, viewers will learn more about the creatures and how much they've changed.

"There are probably some residual human traits that may be part of the world. Also the only ones we've seen so far are males — I'll just leave it at that," Friedman teased.

"Wayward Pines" season 2, episode 2 will also see CJ Mitchum (Djimon Hounsou) in action. The Wayward Pines historian will be heading a group of people to fend off abbies and this may involve some flamethrowers.

As for Jason, he will stop asking questions about Wayward Pines and start using his skills as a surgeon to get himself the answers he needs. Lastly, Megan Fisher (Hope Davis) is being creepy as always and brings a dead abbie to class.

"Wayward Pines" season 2, episode 2 "Blood Harvest" airs Wednesday, June 1 at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.

If the two-party system is indeed dead, as both Zack Polanski and Nigel Farage claim, it’s because members of these two parties have failed, promoting ideologies that are alien to the British character, and serving their own interests, rather than those of the people.
