'Switched at Birth' season 4 spoilers: John disapproves of Daphne and Mingo's relationship in episode 16

Daphne (Katie Leclerc) will be facing a huge hurdle in her relationship with Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch) in the upcoming episode of ABC's teen/family drama series "Switched at Birth."

In "Borrowing Your Enemy's Arrows," Wikia reports that when Daphne introduces her boyfriend to John (D.W. Moffett) and Kathryn (Lea Thompson), things will not go well. John will end up criticizing the relationship, which will hurt his daughter's feelings. She will reportedly ask Melody (Marlee Matlin) for advice, but will still feel John is being unfair to her and to Mingo, whom he hardly knows.

Meanwhile, Bay (Vanessa Marano ) will agree to have dinner with Tank (Max Adler). She will then feel guilty after hearing that people have been treating him as a rapist. Bay reported Tank to the school administration last season for harassment. Although she felt justified in doing that in the past, Bay cannot help but pity Tank for his current predicament.

Last episode, Bay, Daphne, and Travis (Ryan Lane) went to rural Mexico to help Melody with her volunteer work. While Daphne was in her element, serving people, for Bay, the experience was excruciating. Emmett (Sean Berdy) unexpectedly showed up, and he and Bay had a huge row.

Bay's anger came out in full force. She wanted her ex-boyfriend to explain to her what went wrong with their relationship. She also became jealous after learning about Skye (Alice Lee), even stealing Emmett's phone and texting the girl threatening messages. Not finished ranting, she even tried to make him jealous by flirting with Travis.

Fortunately, Emmett understood what Bay was trying to do and even apologized to Travis. He obviously realized that the other guy has feeling for his ex-girlfriend and was hurting as well. As for Bay, she eventually simmered down after a woman she met made her see sense. She ended up apologizing to Emmett and they were able to talk about the past like civilized adults.

"Switched at Birth" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
