'Sister Wives' season 7 spoilers: Kody Brown reportedly on the hunt for fifth wife

 TLC

According to a report from Hollywood Life, Kody Brown of "Sister Wives" is rumored to be on the hunt for a fifth wife. According to an insider, Kody has been looking for a new wife for about a year now and this time around he is looking for someone particularly young and slim, something that would contrast his current set of wives.

Robyn, his current legal wife and the fourth of his wives, is 37 years old and his first wife, Meri, is 45. Janelle is currently the oldest of his wives at 47. Christine is currently 44. According to the insider, Kody is looking for someone at half their age.

"He's been looking for more than a year. He's wanted someone really young, like 19 or 20. And she has to be attractive and thin," explained the unidentified insider. "As it is now, there isn't enough love to go around."

The insider points out that there is already a lot of tension with just the four wives, particularly after Meri willingly divorced Kody so he could marry Robyn and adopt her children, and the fact that Meri has been at the center of a catfishing scandal in which she was flirting with someone online, only to find out it was a woman.

Despite all this, Kody is reportedly adamant on adding another wife as this may entice TLC to renew the show for another season. The insider explains that by teasing the introduction of young new wife to the series right at the end of season 7 would get audiences excited for a season 8, guaranteeing the show will get renewed.

TLC and Kody Brown have yet to respond to these rumors and as of the time of writing there have been no teasers or announcements of Kody bringing in a fifth wife to the show but this may change as the season reaches its finale.
