Mary (Adelaide Kane) will be making a bold step towards taking the English throne. Meanwhile, someone has plotted to kill Mary while inside her castle.

On the next episode of "Reign" season 4, titled "A Better Man," Mary will be making a bold move to claim the throne of England from under Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten).

"As Mary strategizes ways to take over the English throne, Elizabeth struggles to find an appropriate suitor to marry. Meanwhile, James (Dan Jeannotte) gets caught up in a scheme orchestrated by John Knox (Jonathan Goad) and has to deal with the tragic aftermath," the episode listing on The Futon Critic reads.

While Mary works on getting the English throne, someone has plotted against Mary's life inside the castle. As seen in the episode 10 promo, Mary has to leave the castle in the middle of the night to save her own life.

In the promo, Catherine (Megan Follows) says, "We are one step closer to civil war," which might not be good for Mary.

On the other hand, it appears that the title of the episode has something to do with Darnley (Will Kemp).

In the episode promo, Darnley comes to Mary and firmly tells her, "Mary we are wed. Would you allow me to visit your chambers tonight?" Mary still might not have told Darnley that she is pregnant with his child because the new King of Scotts is already being pressured to produce an heir to the throne.

"Reign" season 4 will be ending soon with only three episodes left. Fans have already begun theorizing about how the show will end and what's in store for Mary in the finale.

According to the Inquisitr, it is possible that Mary will most likely die in the season 4 finale. However, it is not yet safe to say that it will be by Elizabeth's hands since the show has steered away from imitating historical accounts.

"Reign" season 4 airs every Friday night at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
