Only one episode remains in the final season of the hit family drama "Parenthood," and that episode promises to bring unexpected twists to conclude the series.

In the episode titled "May God Bless and Keep You Always," a time jump will show the Bravermans' future.

"At the end of the finale, there's a flash-forward essentially," actress Erika Christensen said during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "You press the fast-forward button on the Bravermans and see a few years of that blooming of the family. It gives me chills. It's about three years. It's awesome."

The actress who portrays the role of Julia Braverman in the series claims that shooting the final episode was highly emotional for her and the rest of the cast.

"There was so much crying. The whole family was together on an earlier day and that scene, where the family was together for the last time, everyone was bawling. It was out of control, to the point where everyone was cracking up because it was so ridiculous," Christiansen shared.

Her character Julia also has one struggle to face before the show ends completely. This time, her rekindling romance with ex-husband Joel, played by Sam Jaeger, will not be as easy as expected. The couple has to face a lot of issues first before they can actually begin their new life together again.

One of those is the reaction of their children. While Sydney (Savannah Paige Rae) is ecstatic about the possibility of having a complete family once again, her brother Victor (Xolo Mariduena) will have an opposite reaction.

Will Joel and Julia sort things out before the series ends?

Also, Zeek's (Craig T. Nelson) health is still in question as his heart ailment is still bothering him during the past episode. Will the family come to terms with their father's dwindling condition?

The series finale of "Parenthood" will air on Thursday, Jan. 29, on NBC.
