The search for the new cast members of "Outlander" season 3 is currently underway.

Executive producer Maril Davis confirmed through a Twitter reply to a fan's inquiry that they are now casting for the roles of Lord John Grey and Young Ian for the upcoming season of the historical fantasy drama.

Lord John Grey was first introduced in season 2 as a teenage British soldier who was made to believe that Jamie (Sam Heughan) was holding Claire (Caitriona Balfe) hostage so he could provide information about the location of the Red Coats before the Battle of Prestonpans.

Young Ian, on the other hand, is the son of Jamie's sister Jenny (Laura Donnelly) and Ian (Steven Cree). He is expected to play a very significant role in Jamie and Claire's lives in the series.

Early speculations claim that "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton could be considered to play the role of the older Lord John Grey in the next season of "Outlander." Most of the fans believe that Felton already has some of the features of the character, including the accent and the hair color.

But TVLine pointed out that Felton's recent casting on The CW's "The Flash" might make it difficult for the actor to travel back and forth to Scotland anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Daily Record reported that the crew of "Outlander" have been spotted in the former Victoria Infirmary building in Glasgow, which was closed in May 2015, to "secretly" shoot scenes for the time travel series.

"This is the last thing that will happen in the Victoria Infirmary before it is sold off so it is quite special to be here and recording the building as it is now for history," an insider reportedly told Evening Times.

The third season of "Outlander" is expected to premiere on Starz sometime in 2017.
