The Mikaelsons will face another set of enemies when "The Originals" returns for its third season.

During The CW panel at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con last week, series executive producer Michael Narducci revealed that the upcoming season will focus on "the history of vampirism [like who were the first people turned?] and sire lines."

Narducci further explained through The Hollywood Reporter that viewers will see some of the people that Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt) turned during their early days as vampires.

The season will also feature the first time a person turns into a vampire, as well as how the Mikaelsons looked like after their mother Esther turned them into vampires, specifically the times after Klaus killed his mother and after they decided to run away from their father Mikael (Sebastian Roche).

The executive producer also shared that there will be a lot of vampire versus vampire hostility as well as vampire-on-vampire friendships and romances in the upcoming season. But it does not mean that the Mikaelsons will easily forget what their brother Klaus did to them last season, even if his actions had a noble cause.

Klaus had to betray his siblings and his baby mama Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) in order to keep his baby daughter Hope from harm. While he tries to make up for his mistakes, they may find it hard to forgive him again this time.

"Rebekah has pointed out in the past that Klaus' cycle is, he's abusive and terrible, and then he warms up to you and asks for forgiveness and does nice things," Narducci explained. "And just when you think you can forgive him, he does something terrible again. That is the endless cycle of Klaus Mikaelson. But this time his actions were so cruel and violent and vicious and reprehensible, that it's months later and his family has not forgiven him."

"The Originals" season 3 is slated to premiere on The CW on Oct. 15.
