'One Piece' chapter 797 spoilers, plot: Luffy or Zoro may fight Fujitora, the battle against Kaido

"One Piece" chapter 797 is due for release on Aug. 24, and speculations have begun to spread across the Internet that it might see either Luffy himself or Zoro tackling former fleet Admiral Fujitora. It might also showcase the battle against Kaido, possibly with the help of Doflamingo, of all people.

According to a report from Design and Trend, it is likely that Doflamingo will betray Kaido and eventually help the rest of the people at Dessrosa defeat the monstrous Kaido. It may be the Straw Hats only option since they have no capabilities of going up against Kaido on their own as going against Doflamingo was already too much of a fight.

The report also says that other alliances might come into place during this conflict, particularly the Kid Pirates and possibly Red-Haired Shanks.

The return of Doflamingo isn't the only big story arc happening in chapter 797. Back in chapter 795, Fujitora rolled the dice and decided that it was time to finally take in the pirates. This would put him in direct conflict with the Straw Hats and it is possible that either Zoro or Luffy himself will have to face off against him.

Given that Luffy's powers are almost comparable to that of Doflamingo and that the latter is compared to the powers of an Admiral, it is possible that Luffy can fight toe-to-toe against Fujitora in a fair fight. However, as reported by Movie News Guide, many fans believe that Luffy will sit this fight out in order to tell Rebecca the truth about her father.

Fans also speculate in the forums that this story arc may see Luffy and the Straw Hats Crew leaving Dessrosa, indicating that its fate to become a pirate territory or salvaged by the Marines will be resolved very soon.

As posted by OnePiecePodcast, chapter 797 is scheduled to be release on Aug. 24 as Weekly Shonen Jump has taken a week off to celebrate the Oban holiday, meaning there won't be an issue coming out this Aug. 17.
