The New Orleans Saints will play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday and the Colts will be looking to claim a win to move to a winning record in their race for the AFC South division title. The Saints meanwhile are in the basement of the NFC South and need the win to keep alive their slim hopes of making the postseason, although with the Panthers and Falcons flying this season those hopes are very slim. Andrew Luck will be hoping to maintain his excellent form since coming back from injury. However, he and the Colts will be weary of the threat posed by New Orleans, who will be looking on building on their recent surprise win.

Last week the Colts fell to the New England Patriots 27-34 in a rematch of the Deflategate game. However, despite the loss, one of the shining lights of the day was the return of Andrew Luck, who put in a top notch performance.

In the Patriots game, Luck had a 98.1 rating, 312 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. He will be hoping to replicate that performance today, but of course will be banking on the result being very different against the struggling Saints.

Earlier this week on Thursday Night Football, the Seattle Seahawks destroyed the San Francisco 49ers 20-3 as they shut down the 49ers' offense to great affect.

San Francisco were not even able to get onto the scoreboard until the second half, and when they did it would be a solitary field goal effort in the third quarter.

That result gave the Seahawks their fourth straight win over the 49ers, and it will have pleased them to dump San Francisco down to the depths of 2-5, effectively ending any lingering thoughts that the 49ers had of being able to make the Playoffs.

The Seahawks have been gaining a reputation for having fourth quarter collapses this season, and that has undermined their efforts for their division race. But there was to be no repeat of those collapses on Thursday, as they gained their first road win in four attempts to go 3-4 and within touching distance of a more mediocre .500 record.

On Thursday Night Football, quarterback Russell Wilson completed 10 of his first 12 passes to impose himself on the game, and finished the game with 235 yards passing. However, he was also alarmingly sacked five times as his team failed to give him adequate protection.

Marshawn Lynch scored a spectacular touchdown, jumping the pile for a one yard score, and overall ran for 122 yards, although the most memorable moment for many about Lynch's performance on Thursday may have been when he vomited on the sidelines in the first half.
