With Microsoft reportedly holding a big event by next month, a lot of rumors are spreading about the new devices that will be unveiled by October. Chief among these are speculations that Microsoft will finally announce the official release date of the much-awaited Microsoft Surface Book 2.

According to Ecumenical News, a lot of reports are saying that this event will give fans their first official look at the Surface Book 2, which has been rumored to arrive sometime before the year ends. Unfortunately, Microsoft is still maintaining a tight-lipped stance on the matter. The company remains stingy when it comes to the details of their October event.

However, regardless of whether or not these rumors are true, some other speculations point out that some other new Surface device will come out this year, which will be followed by three more Surface devices by 2017. If this turns out to be the truth, this will be considered the biggest release period for Surface Devices yet, since Microsoft has never rolled out four consecutive devices before.

Meanwhile, the next Surface Book device is rumored to be the fix fans have been waiting for since its predecessors sported some bugs and technical issues that made user accessibility difficult. Aside from that, new specs have been added as well as a stunning new design that will surely blow away the technophiles by the time it gets released.

Furthermore, iTechPost reports that rumors of a high-end Surface Book 2 variant will be released, which will come with a virtual reality support feature. Of course, VR-support is one of the highly-demanded features around, especially for the Surface Book laptop series. If this is in fact the truth, it can only be expected that fans will be more interested in it.

In any case, before Microsoft gives an official announcement about their upcoming October event, these rumors must be taken with a grain of salt.
