Microsoft's vaunted HoloLens will start coming out in 2016. But for the private consumers out there, be reminded that the augmented reality headsets may take time before you can get your hands on one.

After the headsets were first shown in January at E3 in New York, a lot of interest apparently followed on the headset which allowed users to see and manipulate realistic holographic images. The headsets can be used for practically anything, gaming of which is perhaps the first thing that comes into an individual's minds.

However it can come in handy for business as well. That includes presentation and video conference, a technology which brings back to mind the forgotten realm of virtual reality which never really got of back in the 90s.

But now, Microsoft's dips its hands into reviving the forgotten tech and a lot of people are looking forward to it. And the first glimpse of the headset will start in 2016 where developers will be the ones to take first crack followed by business users and lastly individual consumers.

The broad announcement comes from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella via an interview with BBC. Though the announcement seems a bit vague, the reality of it all is that it remains to be seen when Microsoft's HoloLens would be made available commercially.

The first thing that comes into mind is that this headset will be a new accessory that gamers will surely love to use. But of course, the HoloLens was made more than that.

Among other niches that it may be used include the office environment or maybe even by hospitals. Property selling could also profit from it, allowing agents to walk through customers on what they are being offered to invest on.

Apparently the possibilities are endless and such has made everyone from business folks to private individual up and excited.

So with all that said, the only thing left is an actual date of release starting from when in 2016 that developers will be given the chance to use it and integrate them possibly programs or software.
