Speculations suggest that Apple is aiming for a November release of its MacBook Pro 2016. In addition, the new laptop will be one of the first devices to carry the new seventh-gen Intel Kaby Lake chipset.

According to rumors, Apple plans to introduce a truly revamped and overhauled MacBook Pro before the year ends, and a November release – just in time for the holidays – is highly likely. One of the most noted changes for the new MacBook Pro is that Apple will be placing the new lineup as the most premium of its laptop products, with the 2016 edition featuring the seventh-gen Intel Kaby Lake processor. Though previous reports have said that Intel is having some issues with production, recent speculations suggest that the tech maker is already shipping out its new chipset to third-party partners.

Meanwhile, aside from the new chipset, the MacBook Pro 2016 is also said to have massive improvements over its design and profile. Reportedly, Apple will be using USB Type-C for its ports, which will make the new laptop get a slimmer profile. With a new aluminum-tech body and thinner dimensions, the new MacBook Pro is also expected to weigh less than its predecessor, and may even compete with the MacBook Air 2016.

New features are also expected with the MacBook Pro 2016, including speculations that Apple will feature an OLED touch bar at the top of the keyboard. Reportedly, this panel will be a contextual one, and will change its functions depending on what app the user is currently on. It is unclear on whether the OLED panel will also have Force Touch installed. In addition, the new MacBook Pro is also said to come out with the new macOS Sierra, which may mean that users can also access Siri on the laptop.
