iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak release date: Pangu tease imminent jailbreak release

iOS 9.3.3 might still be in its developer beta phase, but to this date even older versions such as iOS 9.3.2 have yet to be given a proper jailbreak launch. However, as stated by reporter Stephen Chang on his personal blog, the Pangua team has given an update hinting that a 9.3.3 jailbreak is coming soon.

Pangu made the announcement during this year's Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC), which was held in Shanghai, China. The team mostly discussed the increasing level of security that Apple has been implementing with their newest builds of iOS, particularly iOS 10.

At the tail end of their presentation, Pangu revealed that they already had Cydia running on the beta version of iOS 10, allowing them to run several homebrew apps and other apps that were not on the App Store. However, they did confirm they were still a few steps away from a full jailbreak.

Despite this, the report points out that this could mean they are set to launch the jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2 and iOS 9.3.3 within the next few weeks. However, it may take more time than expected given that the jailbreak for iOS 9.1 was only released this past March and because of the aforementioned security measures Apple now implements.

This was later confirmed when a member of the POC team, one of the co-host teams of the event, posted a message on Twitter revealing that Pangu have shown their progress regarding an iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak. According to the post, Pangu showcased a demo that focused on the privacy issues of iOS 9.3.2, an issue the jailbreak team is working on.

It is possible that this means Pangu has very few issues left to deal with and will be able to launch the iOS 9.3.2 and iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak within the upcoming weeks. However, Pangu has yet to make an official statement regarding this and there is always the possibility of the jailbreak being delayed.
