Huawei P20 release date, specs rumors update: New Huawei P20 Lite apparent leak

When it comes to mobile phones, the battle for supremacy is usually between Apple and Samsung. Huawei is trying to join the fray with its latest Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. Recent reports note of an alleged leak that may have revealed a third phone to the Huawei lineup — a Huawei P20 Lite. The leak even includes a partial list of specs giving users a good idea of the phone's features in general.

The leak was first found in the March catalog of Vodafone Spain, per Engadget. It listed the Huawei P20 Lite and noted that it has a 5.84-inch FHD+ screen. It supposedly has an octa-core chipset with four set at 2.36 GHz while the other four clocked at 1.7GHz and has a 4 GB random-access memory (RAM). Its main camera will have a dual-lens setup with 16 MP and 2 MP sensors.

Interestingly, the selfie camera, or the front camera, is also at 16 MP but supporting only one lens. It runs on a considerable 3,000 mAh battery and has a good 64 GB of space. As for its software, it would run on the latest Android version, the Android Oreo.

This leak goes in contrast with another leak that also came out recently for the Huawei P20 Lite and its specs. According to TechRadar, this other leak lists specs that have smaller differentiation compared with the ones mentioned above. Per that leak, the P20 Lite would have a 5.6-inch screen with dual 16 MP rear cameras and runs on a 3,520 mAh battery.

While the source of the leak is not exactly related to Huawei, the source has a reputation for sharing leaks which later get confirmed. However this time, it would be more reasonable to believe Vodafone Spain's listing leak rather than this leak since Vodafone is closer related to Huawei being a mobile network.

Nevertheless, the specs of the P20 Lite should be around those numbers. The Vodafone listing also gives a price. The Huawei P20 Lite may cost around $450. More details will be made available on March 27. 2018.

Soho is not exempt from freedom of speech and Christian expression. And Christians do not lose their fundamental freedoms when they cross an invisible boundary into a neighbourhood associated with a different worldview. The streets of London belong to all of us, writes Andrea Williams.
