Hackney Church to Host International Women's Conference

The annual Kingsway International Christian Centre's women's conference will gather more than 4,000 women this month in Hackney, East London, for the Winning Women 2006.

In response to the demand for practical biblical teaching for today's Christian woman, this year's conference will for the first time feature two all-day sessions.

Host Pastor Yemisi Ashimolowo says: "This year's conference is entitled 'Shine' and is based on Daniel 12:3. During our four days together, it's my prayer that everyone who attends will leave with the assurance that God has created them to shine - irrespective of their background, colour, past experiences or even failures, they can become all that God has created them to be."

Featuring a line up of ministers, each with a specific calling to challenge women at different stages of their lives, this year's conference will inspire its attendees to hope and believe in the transforming love of God.

As co-pastor of Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio, Darlene Bishop is President and Founder of the Darlene Bishop Home for Life, a residential home for teenage unwed mothers that provides a real alternative to abortion. Darlene Bishop comes with a word for women to stand strong in the faith and speak the Word.

Former nurse Jackie McCullough has overcome a background which includes the death of her baby and a physically-abusive marriage that ended in divorce. She is now the founder and Senior Pastor of The Gathering at Beth Rapha Church and spearheads the international humanitarian Word Alive Crusade.

Other speakers include author Dr Cindy Trimm, who is also the founder and CEO of several organisations including The Woman's Healing Clinic, Marjorie Esomowei, host of the popular TV programme "Wisdom for Women" and Pastor Ade D'Almeida, who challenges singles from all social and cultural backgrounds to maximise their individual potential in Christ.

Pastor Yemisi says: "I would encourage all women of God to attend this conference. This is a season when God is preparing His daughters for greatness. We can no longer hide in the shadows fearful of failure - or even success. It is time to shine."
