Rockstar Games' upcoming open world action adventure video game titled "GTA 6" is currently under development, with its release date expected to be somewhere in 2016. According to IGN, Rockstar Games' president Leslie Benzies, has stated the following:

"We've got about 45 years' worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas. It comes from the idea first. Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in."

With over 45 years' worth of valuable ideas, Rockstar Games will be looking to raise the bar when "GTA 6" draws nearer to its official release date. According to Latino Post, the setting of the game will take place in Vice City, which was a location that was used in a previous installment. However, there are also other rumors that New York, Miami, Las Vegas and European locations such as Paris might also serve as the primary setting of the video game since it is expected to have a navigation area that will be much larger compared to "GTA V."

As for the protagonist, Christian Post states that "GTA 6" might include a female character that players might be taking control of.

Rockstar Games' co-founder Dan Houser stated:

"In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course. We just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things we always think about."

"GTA V" was initially expected to be officially launched for Microsoft Windows during the initial months of 2015 but now, the title is going to be launched on April 14, 2015.
