As fans already know by now, "Girl Meets World" has received the greenlight for a season 3 renewal from Disney Channel. And with the first two seasons proven to be a hit among viewers, speculations regarding the storyline for season 3 have been widespread.

According to an unconfirmed spoiler page for the Disney show, the third season will have the characters deal with more emotions of love and affection.

The love triangle among Lucas (Peyton Meyer), Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) has been explored throughout season 2 and reportedly, it may go on in the third season if it is not resolved by the current season's finale.

Since it is a coming-of-age television show, it is not surprising that a lot of emotional drama will take place.

The same site also claims that the third season will include Josh's (Uriah Shelton) likely return, which means a possible discussion about his feelings for Maya might take place. Now that the gang is transitioning to high school, it is also possible that more mature topics will be covered.

Cory (Ben Savage), on the other hand, might become their new high school teacher, which is sure to bring a lot of interesting things.

Another special tidbit is that Amir Mitchell-Townes, who plays Zay Babineaux, might be promoted to a regular cast member in season 3.

"Girl Meets World" was created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly, which is a continuation of the original classic series "Boy Meets World." The original show followed Cory Matthews and the sequel now centers around his daughter with Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel), Riley. Topanga was also an original character in "Boy Meets World."

The season 2 finale titled "Girl Meets STEM" will air on Jan. 8 on Disney Channel. Production for the third season will reportedly begin in January of next year and will premiere in spring.
