"Elder Scrolls 6" will take a long while to get here, but the Bethesda Softworks game will be worth the wait knowing the developer's plans for it.

Bethesda said when they first announced the game that it will not be released until after a couple of their major projects are out of the way.

There is no word on what titles these will be, but it was implied they will be on the level of "Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout" in terms of scale, which, considering that it takes them several years to put out one, means they will take a while to get here.

Bethesda vice president for public relations and marketing Pete Hines, however, emphasized that they are committed to releasing "Elder Scrolls 6."

"It's something we love. But it is, I have to be careful what I say, it's a very long way off," the Bethesda executive said back in June via Express.

The studio, however, already has ideas and concepts for "Elder Scrolls 6." In fact, their plans for the "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" sequel are still too much for the technological resources at their disposal.

"We have a pretty good idea of what it would be, and it's just going to take technology and time that, really, we don't have necessarily right now," Hines said.

This suggests that "Elder Scrolls 6" will take full advantage of the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft, namely the PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox Project Scorpio.

Bethesda might even make full use of Virtual Reality technology for the installment. After all, VR is believed to be the direction gaming is taking.

Needless to say, new tech that will be developed as the years go by will also be of great help to Bethesda in realizing their vision for "Elder Scrolls 6," and it looks like the title will be massive.

With all that said, "Elder Scrolls 6" could be one of the grandest and most ambitious games set for release.
