Fans have been waiting for half a decade for "Elder Scrolls 6," and it looks like this grueling test of patience will not end for another few years.

Developer Bethesda Softworks will first work on a couple of big games before starting development for the "Skyrim" sequel. These titles are of the same level as "Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout."

Knowing Bethesda, these games will take years to put together. This means that it will be a long while before "Elder Scrolls 6" actually goes into development.

Bethesda vice president Hines has emphasized on his Twitter account that they have their focus on some other projects at the moment. They also would not want to give anything away about these titles.

He also kept his cards close to his chest with regards to when "Elder Scrolls 6" will finally get its turn on the development table. Hines asserted that he won't reveal any details until the actual unveiling, making the wait for "Elder Scrolls" fans tougher.

However, despite the long wait, it looks like all of it will be worth it once the game finally sees the light of day. Bethesda already has a vision for the game and an ambitious one at that.

When Bethesda announced the game, the company's director Todd Howard said, "We have a pretty good idea of what that's going to be, and it's just going to take technology and time we don't necessarily have right now."

Despite the long wait, Gamingbolt is already looking forward to the expansion packs to be released in the game. The publication hopes that Bethesda can get back on track with the downloadable content or DLC.

The site says that the recent years have not been the best for the company when it comes to DLC releases. However, one won't argue that they put out some of the best post-launch goodies in "Skyrim" and "Fallout 3."

The DLC packs in the "Elder Scrolls 6" considering Bethesda has big plans for it are imagined to be on par with the said games' expansion packs.
