'Dark Souls' 3 DLC release date news: Devs promise to address poise stat issue soon

Dark Souls 3 From Software, Bandai Namco

The Bandai Namco game "Dark Souls 3" is already getting labelled as one of the fastest-selling games worldwide. Players are said to expect more hours of gameplay for their purchase, since more DLC packs are currently being put up online.

According to Christian Daily, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the president of From Software, has confirmed that the first "Dark Souls" DLC is already underway, along with the second pack which is expected to arrive early next year. This DLC will provide gamers with brand-new armor sets, weapons, enemies and more. However, he also mentioned that "Dark Souls 3" has been planned to be the last installment for the franchise, meaning that players should not expect the possibility of a "Dark Souls 4" title. Instead, they will be focusing development on a new IP.

Game n Guide mentions that the "Dark Souls 3" title has already sold up to $45 million. It is extremely profitable for Bandai Namco Entertainment, which means that they might just not completely close their doors to the possibility of another sequel. This game also received several awards, including Gamescon's Best RPG Award last 2015.

"Dark Souls 3" is not without flaws, however. According to I Tech Post, the poise stat in the DLC has been controversial, ever since fans discovered the glitch, with developers constantly denying its existence. They finally issued their apology recently, but the damage has already been done.

The poise stat in the DLC is something that was supposed to allow new players to accept massive hits without dying, but it appeared to be useless in the new game. Even when players have equipped heavy armor to increase their poise, they are still easily being hit around. From Software decided instead to keep quiet about this and denied that any problem actually existed.

Miyazaki recently addressed these issues, even going as far as to say that the poise stat was not something they were proud of. However, there is still a lot of room for improvement for this game. He assured fans that they are sure to handle these issues in the near future. New updates have already rolled out in "Dark Souls 3," with the new updates balancing out the Dark Sword item.
