New drama unfolds this Tuesday in the next episode of Lifetime's hit television docu-series "Dance Moms" season 5.

According to spoilers, the moms of the students in Abby Lee Dance Company are outraged at what they deem as favoritism. There is an alleged preference to 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler, who is long-believed to be Abby Lee Miller's favorite ward.

Jessalynn Siwa, the mother of jazz/contemporary dancer JoJo, points out to the other dance moms that Maddie has always been Abby's favorite, saying that she is certain that the 12-year-old lyrical dancer would be the one who will get the spotlight in L.A.

Nia's mother Holly Frazier agrees, saying, "It would be great if one of the girls gets a big break, kind of like what Maddie had with Sia, because that's opened up tremendous doors for her."

However, Maddie and Mackenzie's mom Melissa Gisoni ignore the other moms' remarks as she concentrates on all the opportunities that come for Maddie.

Meanwhile, Abby is considering replacing 11-year-old JoJo with 13-year-old Nia in the group routine competition after the head choreographer realizes that her dance group will face other groups in the teen division. However, the moms are not happy about it.

In the episode trailer, Nia's mom is seen approaching the younger dancer and says, "JoJo, would you really want Nia not to dance at all today?"

On the other hand, JoJo's mom contests, saying, "What's more important, Nia's feelings or the team winning?"

But Abby finds an ally in Kendal Vertes' mom Jill, who reminds other mothers that they are in the competition to win.

"We are competing in the teen group, we cannot leave Pittsburgh without a win. A child never has to dance older than they are," Jill stated.

However, spoilers claim that Abby changes her plans and lets Nia join the World-Class Talent Experience competition in Woodbridge, Virginia. But despite the resolved internal conflict, the group only lands second in the teen division after performing "Frozen Together" and second place in the overall contest.

"Dance Moms" season 5 episode 4 will air on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
