'Attack on Titan' chapter 85 spoilers, news: Eren's identity to be revealed in Dr. Yeager's basement; Leaked scans surface online

Attack on Titan chapter 58 will be released this Saturday. Toho Studios

"Attack on Titan" chapter 85 was leaked on the internet ahead of its Saturday's release. The scanned images showed that the Survey Corps. has found Dr. Yeager's basement, which also acts as his laboratory, and uncovered several layers of books that contain information within and beyond the Walls.

Earlier in the chapter, as shown on the Fuku-Shuu Tumblr page, Armin has regained consciousness after his near-death experience, while Sasha Blouse is still recovering from severe injuries, but remains alive. Armin's survival is the result of the decision made by Commander Erwin Smith in the previous episode, wherein Armin should be the one to receive the Titan Serum.

Captain Levi, Hanji Zoe, Eren and Mikasa decided to look for Dr. Yeager's basement to look for important materials that has something to do with the Titans' origins. Initially, they were only able to find medical books and journals, which would not arouse suspicion if the Military Police arrives and questions the doctor.

Then, Mikasa was able to find a keyhole, hidden in Doctor Yeager's desk, which exactly fits the key that Eren was holding on to all these years. It looks empty when she finally opened the drawer, but it contains a secret compartment at the bottom portion. When Eren was able to remove the false-bottom, three books that smelled of mint oil and charcoal, to preserve its condition, lay there at the bottom.

The group eventually saw a photograph of a family of three, which they thought was a painting. At the back of it is an inscription that says, "I come from outside the walls, where life is elegant and comfortable. In reality, humans are not extinct at all."

The chapter ended with Captain Levi, Hanji Zoe, Eren and Mikasa looking at the photo.

"Attack on Titan" chapter 85 will be officially released on the Saturday edition of Shonen Jump weekly.
