We've all lost a loved one at some point in our lives. Be it our loving grandparents, caring parents, a brother or sister we've loved so much, or others beloved to us, the fact that we lose them just hurts so much. And no matter how long has it been since we've lost them, the gap that they leave seems to remain simply because they're gone already. It's really sad, isn't it?

All who lost a loved one can attest that life will never be the same again. For that matter, all who've lost a beloved person in their life during the year will never experience Christmas the same way again. We'll miss their faces and their voices, their laughter and their sobs.

Yes, they will be missed very badly.

My friend, have you lost someone dear and feel like you can't have a Merry Christmas this year? If you have, I hope to encourage you: God knows how you feel and wants to comfort you.

We may feel different about the losses that each one of us experiences throughout our lives, but God knows how each and every one of us feels. He sees our sadness, feels our loss, understands our pain, and desires all of us to find comfort and wholeness in Him.

No matter how broken or sad we may feel, God can make us whole and happy again.

To encourage you and help you have a merry Christmas this year, here are a few Bible verses that will comfort you as you feel the pain of your loss. Let God heal your heart and make you happy in Him.

God will take care of you - Psalm 23

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

God will heal your broken heart and bind your wounds - Psalm 147:2-5

"The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite."

God will give you rest as you come to Him - Matthew 11:28-30

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.""
