WWE rumors: John Cena set to return in December 2015?

John Cena is finally taking his break from the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) scene but barely a week after losing the U.S. title to a returning Alberto Del Rio, his return is already in the air.

To this day, there is no official word on why the Cenation leader had taken time-off from the WWE scene, seeing he has no injury or issues that many know of.

Regardless, Cena did say that his time away from the WWE will be made known at the proper time, although he did mention that it would benefit a lot of people backstage.

Of course, that covers a lot of names. It seems to point at the possibility of Roman Reigns recently gaining the nod to be the number one contender to Seth Rollins' WWE heavyweight title.

As far as Cena is concerned, it looks like the WWE star could make his return on one of two dates.

One is the WWE TCL event that is set to take place on Dec. 13 right in his hometown, Boston. If this is the date he does return, it would be a rematch for the U.S. he lost to Alberto Del Rio.

Of not on Dec. 13, it could be Dec. 26, which will be a post-Christmas live event that will be held at the Madison Square Garden in New York. In fact, Cena has already been advertised to appear for this date.

Of the two dates however, it seems that an explosive return could be better if he comes back by the time the WWE TLC PPV unfolds.

So with that said, it will be merely a two-month layoff for Cena after all. Hence, the safest assumption would be December 26 at the earliest considering, he was advertised for that show.

Either that or the Cenation leader wants a longer respite.
