Tyson Fury claims he can beat Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao

Practically the whole world is eagerly awaiting and excited over the now official Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao mega bout, all that is except for one. He is no other than heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury who stressed that he has no interest in the fight.

The controversial British fighter believed that the fight took too long to materialize. Had the fight taken place three years ago, Fury believed that the excitement and hype was worth it. Fury made the remarks in an article over at boxingscene.com.

Fury will be in the ring this weekend as he faces off against underdog Christian Hammer. Fury is a mandatory challenger to reigning heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Aside from being no longer interested, Fury went on to rant that he could beat either fighter with one hand tied behind his back. But of course, all that is immaterial considering the weight difference and of course the age gap he (Fury is 26 years old) has over Mayweather (38) and Pacquiao (36).

As far as his fight on February 28, the European and WBO International Heavyweight champion promises to make short work of Hammer and keep his slate clean. As of this writing, Fury is credited with 23 wins, 17 of them via knockout, and no loss. Hammer is a huge underdog against Fury.

Fury made the comments way before Mayweather made his fight with Pacquiao official this February 20, 2015 which will take place as initially set on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

With the fight considered to be one of the historic and richest head-to-heads in the world of boxing, it should be interesting to see if Fury would backtrack on his rant against Mayweather and Pacquiao.
