'The Elder Scrolls 6' release delayed due to another Bethesda title?

Although Bethesda still has to confirm that it will be released, most fans are already eagerly awaiting for the next "The Elder Scrolls" outing. However, it seems that hardcore players of the franchise will need to wait a little bit longer as apparently, "The Elder Scrolls VI" is yet to come out of the back burner.

According to Yibada, development of "The Elder Scrolls VI" has already started. However, developer Bethesda is currently setting its sights on the release of another massive title from the company, the next installment in the "Fallout" franchise. "Fallout 4" is scheduled to be released tomorrow, and it is already speculated that as part of the company-wide project for the title, there will be post-launch content for the "Fallout" players.

Meanwhile, the latest news that players have about "The Elder Scrolls VI" is in a prior Telegraph UK interview with Pete Hines of Bethesda, who hinted that the title is already in progress. Bethesda, however, is taking its time as it considers itself as one of the publishers/developers that take care of franchises under their wing by being meticulous and careful in planning and development of title installments.

Hines was quoted as saying, "The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge. They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'."

While Bethesda is unclear about the exact release window for the next "The Elder Scrolls" outing, Crossmap opines that since Bethesda is taking its time developing the sixth installment in the franchise, fans will have to wait a little bit longer, with 2019 at the earliest.
