The newly independent Switchfoot announced their fall tour plans with Relient K, along with a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity for the tour.

"For us this tour carries more meaning than simply a reunion of friends," said the San Diego rock band. "We're thrilled to be partnering with Habitat For Humanity, and both bands are donating $1 from every ticket sold to this amazing organisation committed to building homes for those in need here in the US and abroad. It is also a chance for us all to get plugged in to being a part of the solution in our own communities.”

In June, Switchfoot headlined the sold-out "Rock the Boat" concert, sponsored by Evan Almighty, in support of Habitat for Humanity.

The show, which featured Relient K and Jeremy Camp, was an extension of Switchfoot's charitable work. The multi-platinum band had also previously held their third annual Bro-Am surf tournament to support worthwhile organisations in their hometown of San Diego.
